Maybe they've been instructed by their news directors to downplay this evening's shooting.
Route 1 and Route 54, a shot rang out, no altercation in the parking lot that proceeded this; man in relatively stable condition. Still do not know if shootings are related. It is a "rough" area. (per CNN). This is guerilla warfare imo.
It could just be a stray bullet from some local criminal shooting... Lord knows they fly in the ugly parts of town.
The location of the shooting is far from a "Rough Area". It's hicktown USA. Ashland is a suburb of Richmond, Va. and is populated with pickup trucks and home to Randolph Macon College. Train tracks cut through a stretch of civil war era antibellum homes...............and that's it.
95 is a mile away and is a great stopping place for gas, dinner and a motel or two. Other than that....it's flyover country.
I deer and turkey hunted for years about a mile from where tonights episode took place.
