Howlin, they all ratified the Declaration of Independence with the words "granted by the creator" for a reason. That reason was to make clear that all men have natural rights and government was to protect those rights, not create or abrogate them.

You know well the meanings and intents. The Founders weren't speechwriters for God. They also didn't want a state church like the English Anglican church.
