I just read in a newspaper article from over a week ago that police were interested in the fact that the 3 shootings in Virginia were so close to hotels. So they HAVE been looking into whether the shooter is checking into a hotel room to elude police.

Apparently, all the shootings are happening near pavement, too, thus 'Checkpoint Charlie's' are being erected to stop anything that utilizes it...
