Do you think that during WWII civil rights were more highly valued than defeating the enemy? One other comment: Keep in mind that who most Americans define as the "enemy" is totally different from who the politicans and bureaucrats define as the "enemy".
Agreed. Radical Islam is the real enemy. (And moderate Islam seems happy to give birth to radical Islam and support it financially).
