But our nation's founders would have laughed at the notion that my right to privacy can be basis to protect those who would take away those very liberties.

So why do we STILL have open borders?

Why are Medal of Honor winners being harassed at airports instead of Arabs?

War is not without sacrifice

I, unlike most people, do not believe in sacrifice simply for the sake of sacrifice. I've read too many historical accounts of politicians using that argument to deprive people of their Rights, their property, and their very lives.

Speaking of "sacrifice", maybe the government should sacrifice some of their power (which they usurped to start with) before they start asking their superiors (We the People) to make sacrifices.

I AM NOT defending a "one-size fits all" approach. The airport stuff nauseates me greatly (I have handled taking my own shoes off okay, and I am lilly white, but when my 5 year old had to, I got mad).

I think they should profile middle-easterners, and forget the PC bs. We should close the borders immediately, regardless of the cost (and it will be high), and we should round up ALL illegal aliens and ship them out of the country. We should track every single Saudi national legally visiting the USA.

But if we keep howling loudly about our rights first before we realize that life is the most precious of those liberties and that our Muslim enemies are actively seeking to take those rights (and our lives) from us, we are already defeated because we do not have the will to do what it will take to win this war.
