If the guy is convicted, he will get probation. After all, his crime doesn't hurt anyone, right?

The punishment of the culprit is irrelevant at this point. What we need is publicity about Democrat fraud to scare 1,500 to 2,000 "moderate" SD Democrats into voting for Thune. It could come down to less than a 2,000-vote margin for Johnson at this time. Thune is doing the best that he can, as I see it.
