This is a simple truth that will not change. Another simple truth is that a government unwilling or unable to protect it's own citizens doesn't have long to last. There are serious geopolitical side-effects to this current situation (since 9-11 and beyond) that too many are trying to sweep under the rug or avoid altogether. Our government knows this and is taking on a bunker-like mentality against everything which threatens it's existence. This includes it's own disgruntled citizens. We are in for a very rough time.
I agree with that...Hardly any conservatives left in the gov't...I would classify most Republicans as mildly conservative Democrats...
I fear that our current gov't sees the conservative populace as a far more serious threat to their exhistance than any terrorist...
