Again, he's not the "unreliable" witness.

He is not the source of descriptions of the shooter, the van, or the weapon used. He was there, heard the shot, saw the fallen woman. That's it.

He might have attracted some attention bc of his appearance.

I wonder if any of the "witnesses" based their description on his appearance.

Massis is a surname used by armenians, in greece, lebanon, turkey, syria, etc. Also some french folks, probably of ME extraction.

I can't imagine the police didn't speak with him, and check him out, what he was doing there.

Reading the transcript, I don't get a sense of him being shady, just nervous and excited to be on a news show, with a story to tell, and having english as a second language. If he was too proud and smiley, I would attribute that to his excitement and pride at being a guest, and desire to thank his host.

As far as his account being unreliable, his only observations were the sound of the shot in relation to time and place, and seeing the fallen woman and how the store and other people there reacted.

Something just seemed wrong with him kinda smiling while talking about a woman that he'd seen after she was shot. He had shifty eyes to the extreme.

Yes, Sarah. I just read the transcript. He sounds to me like he may be Cuban, or from another Caribbean country. I had a Cuban friend who always used the phrase "in that moment". He seems harmless enough. Just a bystander whom Greta's producers grabbed up in time for her show. His account is similar to a dozen others.

The "unreliable" witness was, I take it, the one who gave the detailed account of staring down two occupants of a cream-colored van who seemed to want to "duke it out".

Bottom line--the cops have nothing--zero--nada--except the caliber of the bullets.
