Two women were having a conversation at the table next to me in a downtown Ithaca restaurant.

"When I first moved to Ithaca I was a vegetarian," said the elder of the two, an attractive woman in her early 30s. "It just seemed like eating animals was wrong, so I didn't eat anything that once had a face."

There are the Cornell-based traditional academic snobs, made all the more determined to establish their sense of superiority by their low place on the Ivy League trellis.

Ouch, that hurt! LOL!

At the risk of insulting somebody out there, I must note that I have never met bigger idiots than Cornell-educated idiots.

Seriously, I think they drill their heads sophomore year and squirt in just-under-lethal amounts of Drano.

But won't that give evil a bad name?

BTW - I'm in Bingoland (Binghamton area), and drive through the C.O.E. frequently. We're considering changing the name to Outer Bingolia, though.

"At first Ithaca seemed perfect," she said. "There were so many veggie entrees on every menu. I wasn't eating meat or fish at the time. I did eat eggs, though -- I justified it because I was pro-choice."

Cleaning soda out of my keyboard now. Carrying this to its illogical conclusion, is it alright it eat meat as long as it is human and not an animal?

But would a fetus be human or animal to these people?

And if its an animal, shouldn't it be protected?

The mind boggles at liberal self delusional idiocy.
