[history]
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Call him a bushwhacker, back shooter, or rogue killer, but please do not call this gunman a sniper.
Thousands of highly skilled military and law enforcement snipers wince at the comparison.
I refer, of course, to the cold-blooded murderer whose bullets have struck 11 people, killing nine of them, in communities around Washington, D.C.

On the other hand, a deranged mass murderer will keep on killing in the face of the overwhelming force against him. I think he will do this, kill again. He'll say to himself the words that have tripped all killers, rapists, thiefs, etc., etc., "just one more time".

"just one more time". And I hope an armed citizen puts a bullet through his brain.

And I hope an armed citizen puts a bullet through his brain. Shoot both his knees first.

Anybody else seen the coming attractions for a movie about to hit the theaters called *Phone Booth*, about a guy in New York pinned down in a phone booth by a sniper? I doubt the movie folks are real pleased about the timing of their release, but it's not their fault.

Recall an Arnold Schwartzenegger (sp?) movie had to be held off the market after 9-11-01? Hmmmm...
Does reality mirror fiction, or does fiction mirror reality?

I thought it was the Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman(?) movie that was held off after 9-11. About one of our unexploded bombs from a 60's middle eastern conflict acquired by terroists & detonated at a Baltimore football game attended by the President. I think they even changed some scenes before the released it. I saw the movie, but the name escapes me.

Two more times. It will probably either be 13 attempts, or 13 dead (assuming the information released about the Tarot card by the press is accurate), although how long they will wait until they make the future attempts is anyone's guess.

Because this nitwit uses a rifle, that doesn't make him a sniper.

I believe that's the point of this article, yes.

The release of Phone Booth has been indefinitely delayed. They're suggesting an early 2003 opening.

I don't see this article in my print copy of today's Washington Times? Is it only on line? If so, a pity.
To: aristeides
I haven't a clue. I only read the on-line version anymore.

*Phone Booth*Add that one to the scrap heap along with "Big Trouble" and "Collateral Damage".
Hollywood is going into financial decline until they start making movies that tell the truth about Islam, and are as nasty as their movies about Christian fundamentalists.

You mean "sum of all fears"...boy did hollyweird rip that story to shreds..Read the novel it is much better than that crap hollyweird put out.

Thought you'd find this interesting. Thanks. The truth is we don't know if this shooter is a sniper or not. None of the shots he has made yet have been anything special. On the other hand,he is clearly aware of the tactical situation, and his escapes are the result of careful planning. This guy is clearly cold-blooded,but he is NOT a "foaming at the mouth nutcase". He ain't taking any unneccessary chances.
