The psychological profiling that has consumed the media since the start of the sniper killings has produced in almost every case a rather cliched portrait of a killer or killers who are white, in their twenties or early thirties, have military experience, enjoy exercising the godlike power of life and death, and are alienated from society. Some describe the culprit as a serial killer, and some label him a spree or thrill killer. Yet the salient aspects of the shootings do not fit with our knowledge of either of these types, and if the perpetrator does turn out to be disaffected, frustrated, alienated, white and male, he will constitute an important new subcategory. Should the killings be the work of international terrorists, on the other hand, they will fit a textbook pattern that has been on ample display during recent years in every part of the world.

I believe three of the victims were black, as well as the dark-skinned cab driver from India, who may have been mistaken for black. None seems to have been Moslem.

And, none of the blacks shot has been a young man (the likeliest group to be Black Muslim.)

I just heard Eleanor Clift, of all people, suggest on NPR that the sniper shootings might be foreign terrorism.

Looks like the liberals are all now jumping on the terrorism possibility bandwagon now that the media got everyone to turn in their gun-enthusiast neighbors and bashed conservative ex-military white males for all they were worth.

Hmm, you can see aspects of the CETME or H&K 91/G3 plus the other H&Ks rifles and submachine guns, in that MP-44. Not suprising, probably some of the same designers.

The "Nation of Islam" bunch isn't the same as the ME Musli. The ME Musli aren't ceazed enough to say/believe that they invented the white race in a lab, to be their servants.

You may be right about that. The Islamic threat may catalyse such a revival.

Western Civilization is the greatest accumulation of wisdom ever to grace the earth. It is not opposed to God.

You raise many good questions.

The cosmos is God's holy scripture. His revelations continue. He didn't write all His teachings in one book or in one place and then disappear. He continues to reveal His truth.

Even with all its flaws, Western Civilization towers over Islam. It is open to God's continuing revelation of His truth.

I think a Christian renaissance in the West is a distinct possiblity.
