was just info I was relaying.

My husband was really incensed by the piece. He said much the same thing you did.

I have been sceptical all along of this story by this 'witness'. It NEVER sounded like our shooter. I still think he (they) shot from across the street from the dark area. He has not shot any of his victims from short range. He is carefully staking out a line of sight and picks a target that falls within it.

I noticed that several months ago. It's worse the last two weeks. In a land long ago and far away, we used to have them once weekly. :)

To the best of my knowledge the "Palestinian" sniper was never proven to be IRA. The joke is the Palestinians have no snipers because no palestinian can hit a target. I do know the info regarding the IRA using snipers against their own enemies is true.

I have not heard it once in the last two weeks. I have been listening to WTOP and WMAL most of the time driving to and from work. How many times have you heard it and when?

IMPORTANT QUESTION PICKED UP ON ANOTHER THREAD: Has anyone noticed an increse in frequency in the broadcast of the Emergency Network announcement? ("In the event of a disaster, you will be given instructions, etc....")

There was a man with a foreign accent, last name Massis, I believe, who spoke on Fox several times. He said he heard the shot and saw Mrs. Franklin dead, but said he never saw a vehicle or the shooters.

Guess there are other witnesses talking to the public YOU don't know about.

I haven't noticed it, but then I am on a satellite (Direct TV) and usually tuned to Fox. Apparently it has been showing up on local channels and on some cable networks with more frequency. I was throwing the question out as it may indicate more afoot than we know.

I saw an earlier post by you in a different thread about this being related to satanic worship. Given what we suspect, (after having Googled some more), do you think it could have a satanic angle?

You are right...it doesn't fit the MO of the shooter. I did kind of buy off on his story because it seemed like it was collaterated with other witnesses at least in part. It's amazing how much damage a fraudulent witness can do to an investigation. If this guy did in fact fabricate his story he should be thrown in jail for a few years.

On my cable (comcast) it's sounded each morning this week at about 9am. They might have something wrong with their buzzer as it weirds out toward the end. :)

In most cases, we are not good witnesses but this is a unique situation and our minds are quite busy as we run our errands. I don't think the sniper was where everyone has said...he was "invisible", hidden by an everyday obstruction(as in all the cases) except for the time it took to select and take down his victim.

Yea, but he still killed people in VA. I don't think it matters where they get him, does it? Am I wrong on this?

For all FReepers, can rifles/guns be custom-made so that no one would know the exact "model?"

That is what the ATF guy said this morning and I thought he was being overly defensive about the gun being identified as a AK74 the previous day.

This is because we only conduct tests. Had this been an actual emergency you would have heard nothing because our broadcast uplink would have been taken out.

Maryland does have the death penalty. 3 have been executed, 15 on death row. The former governor commuted some, and there is a current moratorium by the Gov., but the law is on the books, a number have been sentenced to death, and a few executed.
