"They interpret the result as the beginning of a protest against the rule of arbitrary will and as an effort to force Chancellor Hitler back to the rule of law."Talk about mindless optimism! The voices of their spiritual descendants are heard today.

"former Communists still are Leader Hitler's most loyal followers."The Left is still at it. "Liberals" love tyrranical dictatorship. They love talibanesque government control over everything and everyone. They want to interfere with as much freedom of choice as possible. They want government to confiscate as much private property as possible for public use, without compensation. They love the IRS and the BATF. They shrug off Waco and Ruby Ridge.

and there were 871,056 defective ballots...........
Palm Beach and Dade County? I thought those Germans were smarter than that!

. . . which all goes to prove that you
can fool most of the people some of the time (or was it
all of the time?).
It is so much better when Providence chooses the executive through hereditary right.
To: Goetz_von_Berlichingen
YOu have a lot more faith in historical providence than evidence warrants.

YOu have a lot more faith in historical providence than evidence warrants. It's that "von" in his screen name.

I think that we all know what happened to the ten and one-tenth percent of the people that didn't vote for"Der Fuehrer"!!!!
To: swarthyguy
Check out Prof. Rummel's website on 20th Century Democide and see how many of the culprits were hereditary monarchs.
Vox populi, vox . . . ?

Let me see really bad( ie not just semi bad but really bad like modern commie or theocratic dictatorships produce) hereditary monarchs in history. Leopold of Belgium, Phillip II of Spain, Henry VIII was close, The 1st Emperor of China was a really bad guy( but he only inherited part of Northern China), Ivan the Terrible did a great job fighting Mongols but was also a bad guy. I think thats about it unless you want to go back to Old Testament times.

Hey, you left out Vlad the Impaler!
But, considering who his neighbors were, maybe he wasn't such a bad guy after all.
To: Goetz_von_Berlichingen
Vlad was in a bad neighborhood being the Princes of Wallachia tended to have short life expectencies. His own people( not his enemies) thought he was "the man".

"Since nothing has happened to me so far I vote 'Yes.'" It was signed "Non-Aryan." Wonder what did end up happening to him?

I think that we all know what happened to the ten and one-tenth percent of the people that didn't vote for"Der Fuehrer"!!!!That was the real intent of the elections, to make it easier for the Gestapo to find out who Hitler's political enemies were.
