Islam is the scourge of mankind today. Turn it back. Start on the edge, such as Indonesia, or start in the middle, such as Saudi Arabia, or anywhere in between. Just start, and take this demomic and terroristic cult out of civilization's equation. Those peckerheads are not part of human civilization and it is time for them to go.

[Only 13% are prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.]

Why is it that just because there hasn't been a news story within two days, the libs/sheeple assume that nothing is happening? Surely these are the least imaginitive proportion of any society. Dullards in fact.

[Only one in three voters agree that the United States and Britain "took their eye off the ball" by concentrating on Iraq]

Of course, if this poll were from the USA, this 13% would have included Congressmen McDermidiot, Whatsisface from Napa California, and "Good Riddens Boniordash".

Ok, some good news for a change. France is being a real jerk here - they are still outright rejecting a resolution that calls for using force. Russia needs to get onboard and slap France across the face. This is getting ridiculous!

The fact is that we need approval from NONE of them to take action to protect ourselves from attack. We simply outline our case and then we take action. After the smoke has cleared, we show them the evidence that we were right. Nonetheless, no wher in the US Constitution does it say that we have to get permission from the UN to defend ourselves. The Constitution requires that the Congress make declaration of war (of course, properly debated vis the evidence) and the Executive commands the armed forces.

85% of Englanders still receive their identity and/or hide behind the world government/world communist UN-types...

France has had attacks by muslim fundamentalists over the years and in their inimitable way, they are attempting to appease the murderers.

One could argue that they have already surrendered -- to the leftists and islamics within their borders.

Part of your post is not showing up, but I agree with your second paragraph. I heard on TV today that the President is only willing to wait so long. I think he's beginning to run out of patience with the U.N. - if he had had his way, I don't think he would have gone there in the first place.

A puny increase in the number of supporters of war with Iraq to 42% plus or minus the margin for error, combined with an appalling 85% who insist the approval of the un's gangsters must be sought in advance, ensures that this whole piece sounds like bullshit.

Add to that the claptrap issuing forth from the pathological left-wing liar and morbidly-["i r a"]-terrorist-appeasing perambulatory vomitous, UK prime minister, "Turd-Way-Tony" Blair and you know for sure the truth is still that the UK is a part of the EURO-peon majority that opposes The United States Of America's Right -- and unshakeable determination -- in the Good Company of Our Nation's every-bit-as-as-unshakeable Australasian and Israeli Allies -- to defend ourselves!

How is what a bunch of Brits think about the activity relevant to the US?

These attacks just show huge misjudgement on the part of Al Qaeda.

What shows a huge "misjudgement" is claiming Al Qaeda had any part in the attack given that there is no evidence which would indicate a link between the attacks and Al Qaeda.

What’s sadder is that only 42% now believe military action is warranted

I think it's sad that 42% of British folks actually believe that Iraq is related to Al Qaeda.

Thanks for your injection of rational thought. Aside from the fact that bombing Iraq probably wouldn't solve anything and wouldn't have prevented the attack in Bali, there still is not evidence to suggest this was executed by Al Qaeda. It's bizarre how little anyone uses their brains anymore. The propaganda machine is extremely well run and effective.

Muslims become more enraged and emboldened. As more attacks on the U.S. occur, a revolt occurs in Saudi Arabia, and Osama is made the Caliph.

Hey, it's still possible- if a dead Missouri Democrat can be elected to the Senate, I reckon a dead Arab can be a Caliph.

Well, maybe not- the Islamicists would never be able to get over their ideology long enough to let Osama's wife be selected to act on behalf of a dead man.

Russia needs to get onboard and slap France across the face

One would have thought that the attack on its oil tanker and murder of a crewman would have provided enough of a slap alone.

If we are real lucky they will simply prove that the UN is irrelevant and we will act without them.

According to the NYT today the US had intelligence from captured Al Qaeda that a major attack was imminent in Indonesia and we were presuring their government to move on it. In any case which group of Islamo-fascists were responsible hardly matters. They are all just heads of the same Hydra.

"That said, here's why I think the D.C. sniper shootings should be added to the lengthening list of al-Qaida assaults. First, the list is growing. In recent weeks there have been attacks not only in Bali and Kuwait and on the French tanker (which took place on the anniversary of the USS Cole attack) but also in the Philippines, Chechnya and Afghanistan. Also, several other terrorist assaults have reportedly been foiled in recent weeks. Moreover, these attacks haven't been random; al-Qaida has claimed credit for these crimes. Statements in the forms of letters, audiotapes, videotapes and intercepted communications, some allegedly from Ayman al Zawahiri, Mullah Omar and Osama bin Laden, have explicitly detailed what amounts to a new fall offensive against the United States and its allies." Quote from an article on Freerepublic, 16 October. Search terms sniper and Al Qaeda should find it.

He acted with only a cartoon knowledge of the United States, handed to him by Clinton

I think the media, especially the news media, presents a severely distorted view of America, as well.

Their allies have been operating in Indonesia for yrs. Our ambassador warned them just the day before that they were being targeted by the Al Queerda's operatives for just this sort of attack. Keep up.
