Well, no kidding? That's what Freepers have been saying all along.

This must mean that they are in possession of convincing evidence.

Which ones?

Springfield,VA (Hamas Cell) southwestern corner of I495 loop at I95. Closest to the center of all shootings.

Laurel, MD (Al Qaeda Cell) on I95 toward Baltimore, 8 miles from northeast corner of I495 loop. Closest to Bowie child shooting.

Potomac, MD (Hezbollah Cell) 4 miles west of northwest corner of I495 loop. Closest to western loop shootings

Herndon, VA (Al Qaeda & Islamic Jihad Cells) 10 miles west of I495 loop. A little farther than Potomac.

Even Mo Atta was no James Bond, he was a raving loon who screamed at secretaries that he was going to do terrible things to America. They left clues a mile wide behind them.

However, only a blind PC bound Inspector Clouseau was half heartedly tracking him.

Quite true. Remember the kid who slammed his stolen Cessna into the building in Tampa last year, with a note praising OBL in his pocket? He had a Syrian dad, and was "conflicted".

There might be thousands of loony wannabee Jihadists running loose who never stepped foot in an Al Qaida training camp. The call has gone out for all "true muslims" to strike hard at all Americans. Some may be acting on that call, on their own.

This is not a good time for the faint-hearted. It's all pretty ugly from here on out, but, thank the Lord, we know who wins.

I used to think you were intelligent and that we simply disagreed on a few points, but now I see your true colors.

Add up world events the last couple of weeks, add up the Anthrax in October, and a year later these shootings in the capital's suburbs, add up the reluctance of police to give a description and it all spells ME terrorism. It seems you desperately want to believe it's some random psychopath. Perhaps you feel Bali was not the work of Islamists? Or the French tanker? Or the Kuwaiti incidents? Perhaps the bombings in the Philippines?

Yeah it's all a coincidence that a day after(or was it before?) the arrest of the Portland AQ-wannabe gang, that the killings in the DC Metro area began. Maybe it IS a coincidence, but it seems the facts point away from domestic psychopath and towards Islamist or Islamist-symp.

There was another Islamakazi terrorists who killed innocents with an AK47 during the Clintoon Days. That was the clymer who shot and killed the CIA personnel in the Langley Parking Lot. Here is the link to this buried story: (Islamakazi sniping/killing of innocents in DC area ain't new news)

"People are used to lightning striking and they don't get scared every time it rains -- and they're much more likely to be hit by lightning than they are to be shot by the sniper," he said.

Well, Mr. Rocket Scientist, tell that to the families of the (thus far) 10 victims...

Must be a great comfort.

Did anyone really expect us to believe that he contracted inhalation anthrax from drinking water from a stream in the mountains of North Carolina?

Do you know who originated that misdirection? Who was the first reporter who reported that? Or who was the first bureucrat to moot that point in front of reporters?

To answer my own question it was Tommy Thompson who first said the Anthrax was from a stream in North Carolina and that there "was no terrorism."

What is that waste of flesh up to these days? Any reporters ask him any terrorism questions lately? What does he think of the anthrax attacks now?

Actually, the first I heard of this was from the Director of Palm Beach County Health, Dr. Jean Malecki. However, I'm sure she was given the script from someone far above.

It is only appropriate to add up things that appear in the same column. There isn't enough evidence here to show that this is a terrorist act.

"crimes do not bear the traditional hallmarks of an international terrorist att

Please sir, what are these hallmarks? Using planes as flying bombs? Anthrax, West Nile Virus, Exploding shoes, Long Island Airbus crash, killing Israeli ambassador in hotel lobby in London ?

Am I confused, or is this overpaid, undereducated, pea brain at the White House?

Are all those cells still there and operational? If so, I can see why an ME connection to the snipers might be more than a little embarrassing to those in charge.

Any Americans around those areas are terror-bait.

Let's check out our enemies friends first, before blaming ourselves. Just makes common sense.

...absurd conclusion...alleged justification... It appears I signed off too soon last night. In response, I can only point out that it should have been obvious that my comments were made at THIS point in the game, when it is obvious that we are dealing with someone that does not fit ANY criminal profile in ANY psychological blabberbook except 'terrorist'. If I had made the comments earlier on, then your 'argument' may have had merit. To make it now, when 'normal' criminal profiles obviously do not apply, is illogical. And all of this leaves out the fact that the shootings began on the anniversary of the conviction of 'blind sheik Omar', the spiritual mentor of OBL and the other founders of al-Qaeda. The DNC media hacks seem to have not noticed this for some reason.

don't discount possibility... You're right, of course. There are plenty of nuts in the world. But I think it pretty clear he doesn't fit a 'normal' criminal profile. Besides, there are other facts which support the terrorist angle. Oct. 2 was the anniversary of the conviction of 'blind sheik Omar', spiritual mentor of OBL and other al-Qaeda founders. Thats when the shooter began a rapid 16 hour spree in which over half of the deaths so far occurred. That alone put the terrorist possibility on equal footing with the serial killer possibility at the start of the case. All of his actions since then have only served to rule out 'normal' criminal types, which leaves...

It may most likely be an Army OV-1 Mowhawk.

At one time that might have been true, but the Mohawk is in honourable retirement -- at least as far as the US military goes. A couple of friendly nations (Greece?) still operate some, but we don't.

The plane is gone but the capability hasn't. What a shame it has to be used in domestic skies... we need to take a long hard look at the 1965 immigration act, and maybe return to the status quo 1925-64.

He said it was two domestic losers who make up this sniping team. That all their shots are not difficult ones. That they are sniper wanabees who could never hack it in our armed forces as a sniper. He said their forte was planning and planning for escape.

I agree with all of this except for two points:

  1. They aren't necessarily "domestic".
  2. There may be more than two of them.
