I've heard about this technology recently. Any idea where I could find more info? It sounds impressive.

It was used in Vietnam to find incoming mortars fired(location) by the Vietcong.

There's an outfit in Mountain View, CA called ShotSpotter, Inc. that's marketing their gunfire location system worldwide.

I think there are some other companies overseas that also offer this technology.
