Very interesting. How surprising.

Eyewitness saw Middle Eastern looking Man Flee Scene in White Van
Nahhh! Couldn't be.
It's a Religion of Peace.
Nothing to see here, move along...

Seems credible. And predictable. Bastards are probably going to flee now. I wish the media would STFU.

"Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place," Lorraine Burns said as she walked up to a Barnes and Noble bookstore,I wouldn't be so sure of that, Lorraine. You have just issued a challenge to the gunman.

Misleading headline ... from the body of the article - "...dark-skinned, possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern, man..."
The actual AP headline from your link is: "Sniper Attack Yields Detailed Clues"

Some are already recanted on the "olive skinned man" who has now become a "white male with a blue shirt driving a white van".

Robert Young, a Washington construction worker, returned to the shopping center Tuesday to talk with police. He said he heard a muffled gunshot and saw a white van. I'm surprised they identified the witness by name. Hearing a gunshot and seeing a white van does not translate to witnessing the shot or shooter.
This description is being given out after the markets close for a reason?

The Fibbies won't admit that it is not a white right wing milita type. The only way the Fibs can be made useful again is to purge it of all Klintoonites! When/if this character turns out to be other than white bread we need to go after the sponsors of CNN, Time, Newsweek, the Washington Post and the old yook tiimes. White males have got to get off of their asses and start fighting this crap.

"A law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said another witness gave a description of a dark-skinned, possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern, man in a white van."But that has been being discounted by the news all day as being unreliable. After all it was dark and although someone may appear to be of ME extraction in the parking lot lights at night, they are really a white male.
Anyway thats the official version so we need to be sticking with it.</sarcasm off>

Maybe some confederates were in the van. Maybe some "trainees".
I don't think the shooter or his wheelman would be so stupid to make people notice them.

One thing I know: contrary to some allegations above, it wasn't ME!

A law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said another witness gave a description of a dark-skinned, possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern, man in a white van.
Ummmm... he shouldn't be doing that, 'cause that's profiling, and profiling is BAD, mmmkay?

"There was some additional information that we were able to get from last night's case, and I am confident that that information is going to lead us to an arrest in the case," Fairfax County Police Chief Tom Manger said. But SHHHHHhhhhh!!! It's a secret!
What ever happened to "The Police Department will not comment on a case that is under investigation....
Maybe Chief Manger can wrangle a guest spot on the Today Show so he can play footsie with Perky Katie!

Didn't the state of Maryland just outlaw the death penalty ? Oh great, those braindead #%^&en idiots !

This begs the question: If these person(s) who are doing this killing are ever caught and turn out to be Al Qaida...
What will the attitude become in this country towards Muslims?
If they are not caught, does this not put forth a perfect model to Al Qaida on how to get maximum terror out of minimum money, planning and equipment?
I hate to even think about armed citizen backlash...

""I thought this fool was going to want to get out of the van and duke or something. But he didn't. He kept on going."Talk about a blast from the past, I think I know this guy. He fell off the face of the earth about 15-17 years ago and I hadn't seen or heard from him since but I'd like to think by the "tone" it's the same Robert Young I used to know. The one I know lived in Maryland and was a little "loose" from overindulging and is now about 40 to 41 years old . Smart kid but didn't try at all but he could swim like a fish. Hmmmmm.....

Why was he speaking on condition of anonymity??? Was he threatened? Wha---???
Didn't they have NO PROBLEM previously releasing the description as white???

Witness 1: ... another witness gave a description of a dark-skinned, possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern, man in a white van.
...
Witness 2: Young described the driver as a short man of slight build who appeared to be Mideastern. He said, "I got a good look at the guy."

Article confirms victim was an FBI analyst who worked terrorism issues. I wonder if she was working the sniper case. She may have been a techie, but I can well imagine quantitative and software techniques are being applied to the sniper case. Maybe that's why she was targeted. It certainly seems strange that she was reportedly shot from a distance of 30 feet, in a big departure from the previous sniping tactics. Maybe this time the perps were not so indifferent about who they shot.
If they were able to target her, how would they have known about her and have been able to track her? A mole in the investigation?
