'Our Own Sept. 11'; Australia in State of Shock

I hate it when these attacks are described as 'Tragedies". There is nothing tragic about them, they are outrages, vicious attacks. HWen a child dies in an accident that is tragic. This is simply an outrage.

Where is Byron_The_Aussie? Post-9/11, he was calling many of us here Neanderthals because we wanted to go to war against the Muslim terrorists. He stated that we were all over-reacting to what happened on 9/11 and that Bush was a warmongerer. I'd like to hear his opinion now that so many of his countrymen have been felled by these brutes. We civilized nations need to wake up and smell the coffee. The Muslim terrorists and their "jihad" aren't going to go away.

I do believe most civilized human beings do care about the deaths of so many Australians. Proportionally, it is a painful blow. Numerically on par with September 11. These vermin (the terrorists) have no decency or concern for anyone. Only their murderous agenda. Australians will stand tall and stand firm against this unprovoked attack. It is in the Aussie nature to not back down. We have the utmost sympathy and compassion for those who lost friends, relatives and neighbors.

October 12th, 2002 will stand with September 11th, 2001 as a date when civilization was attacked by the minions of evil.

All these liberals say that our foriegn policy vis-a-vis the Israel/Palestine conflict, was to blame for September 11th. What the frag does Bali have to do with the Israel/Palestine conflict? Absolutely nothing!

Bali(and Australia for that matter) could care less about the Arab-Israeli conflict. Could it be that Muslims simply want to slaughter as many infidels as possible?

In an interesting panel discussion the other night on Special Report, Michael Barone and Charles Krauthammer posed a Marxist possibility. The question was: why Bali when Indonesia is sympathetic to Al Qaeda? The answer was to force the government to crack down hard, thereby radicalizing the population into joining Al Qaeda in response.

Some accused the Prime Minister of having blood on his hands, suggesting that it was his active support of the Bush administration over Iraq that had provoked the attack.

Liberals amaze me. Hundreds of their own have just been brutally murdered, and their first reaction is to blame their own nation and their allies rather than the muslim terrorists who did this. Unbelievable.

I am sure we have many friends and allies in Australia. It just angers me to see us blamed for all the world's problems like this article does. We didn't attack you, Muslim terrorists did; you (not you personally) need to know who your friends are.
