VANDALS STRUCK A U.S. MILITARY RECRUTING CENTER in San Jose:

Vandals torched two military vehicles and defaced a recruiting center in San Jose on Monday, spray-painting an ominous warning across the building: ``Pre-emptive Attack.''

San Jose fire officials said the targeted vehicle was a minivan wrapped in military slogans and patriotic advertisements. Flames also spread to a second government car parked next to it.

Officials say they don't have a motive, but I think it's pretty obvious what this is about. Expect more such doings, interspersed with loud cries of outrage whenever the "antiwar" movement is characterized as unpatriotic.

Both of these stories are zingers!

The motive behind the arson remained unclear, though some officials privately acknowledged the graffiti could mean it was a reaction to plans being made to wage war against Iraq.

What, pray tell, is unclear about the motive?

loud cries of outrage whenever the "antiwar" movement is characterized as unpatriotic . . .

What, pray tell, is patriotic about torching military facilities? Based on these actions, why shouldn't we characterize the anti-war movement as criminal?

This isn't a wise move.

Recruiting centers are staffed by real soldiers pulled out of tanks and rifle ranges at reenlistment, not civil servents playing dress up. Most of them are itching to get back to their real jobs, a follow up attack by the vandals would be a very, very bad decision.

Ten to one this spokes babe was one of the PC Diversity Queens hired during Jake Reno's reign of terror with these comments:

``It's hard to know what this means,'' said Marti McKee, a spokeswoman for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. ``Maybe there's a political motive for this,'' she said. ``Maybe somebody has a grudge. It's hard to speculate.''

Cracking the code, this was not an act of a crazy white cracker conservative gun nut. So we can't even say that this was a political/terrorist act!

She probably has a PHD in Urban Bravo Sierra from Portland University, like her soul brother, PC Moose in Montgomery County Maryland.
