Geraldo is a 'circus' (or 'carny') kind of guy.

Expecting him to behave appropriately in this situation isn't fair.

Would you berate a dog for crapping on the floor if you left it locked in the house?

Granted, a well-trained dog would hold it as long as he could, whereas Geraldo likely had no such restraint, but the point remains the same...

Lesser beings have lower standards.

Yes. I was shocked -- shocked! -- to learn that Geraldo visited the Hooters when the pains of hunger were too much to bear.

I live near the scene of that shooting, and all summer met friends in the parking lot at that Hooters as a take-off point to our adult-league baseball games in Richmond. The minute I saw that Geraldo invaded my town, and was right next door to the Hooters, I knew that trouble was brewing.
