I think if I ever get another cat it will be a Siamese. They are wonderful cats. Georgio is beautiful. If you do decide to get a Siamese try a Humane Society or Siamese Rescue Group.
They are a wonderful breed....so smart that it be spooky.....but always fun!

It's going to take me some time to get over Heathcliff. He was my special little guy. When I picked him up he would put his front legs around my neck and nuzzle up against my cheek and race his motor. He would stay that way as long as I would let him. It felt like he just couldn't love me enough. Now I'm crying. I wish we knew what happened to him. He was always an outside free spirit except in the winter when I would bring him inside. He never strayed far from our little compound, our house and the neighbor's. We both cared for him and loved him and we've both been crying over his loss. I pray that he will turn up. He's been spayed so I know he's not wandering. I pray that someone took a liking to him and took him inside.

Nan: I'm so sorry....I didn't realize your Heathcliff was missing. A friend's cat was missing for almost a year. She had posted flyers about him everywhere.
Finally someone found him & called her....The cat had survived the winter; he was skinny & bedraggled.....but he remembered my friend immediately and began to purr loudly when she came to get him.
Cats are amazing survivors....I'll be praying that Heathcliff returns soon.

I cry with you, Nan, knowing that kind of grief.
In 1995, a starving stray black and white cat I took in and named 'Boyo' - sounded like some Irish loving moniker - took over the household; a sweet and loving fellow.
While 'Nuff' Kitty pretended to loathe him, he would back up to her on the rug in front of the fireplace and in time won her over - finally leaning into his back!
I developed what turned out to be pyelonephritis (kidney infection) one weekend, with fever and intense headache, unusual for me.
Boyo was lying on top of the console tv across the room, and when one time my fever broke and became enveloping chills, he came over to lie on my chest, stretched fully out, to keep me warm and comfort me!
I went to the hospital (104 temp) for five days, and when I came home, he had vanished.
Always felt he went to look for me ~ ~ ~
Okay - tissue time here.
We've about covered every conceivable topic today, eh?
And yes, Nan - we are indeed sisters; just deprived of having seen one another yet..:))

OOOOh....an angel cat from God. That is such a good story. More tears. Can't we find something more cheerful to talk about?

Let's celebrate all of God's gifts to us, from stray cats who personify His unconditional love; to friends who help us over the potholes in the Road of Life.
Counting blessings each and every day now, and praying He is holding Beep's hand in His this moment.....
Who said church had to be corralled into Sunday Only?
Fortunately for us, God does not take Time Outs!

I'm so sorry to hear your kitty losses. It's so sad to lose a pet or not knowing where they are. But there are always the amazing true tales of how they come return. Hugs to you both.
