i have yet to hear a definitive word on where the person supposedly saw the shooter exit the vehicle and take the shot.

I've heard "yes" then "no" on that - I think "CF" is an accurate term for where this is headed.

Stupid question time: With multiple jurisdictions like this being involved, shouldn't the FBI be taking the lead? And if so, then why the f--- are we still hearing from Moose in Montgomery and Squirrel in Fairfax!?

Olive skinned can be a variety of skin tones. A can of instant bronze tanning lotion from any store will give you a different skin tone. Just as a wig can give anyone a different appearance or a box of Clairol.
As for witness accounts we heard here in Phoenix one witness thought a tire had blown on a car. Then they interviewed another guy on the radio who said he had a vision that morning that the shooting would occur at that location. He said he was a contractor and had been in the country for 20 years. Sure couldn't tell it by his English.
Put forty witnesses at a crime scene and generally you will have a variety of accounts and most of them won't be the same.

Oh Lord, I'm still smiling. :) Americans are great. Last night they said people were running to the WINDOWS of home depot to look out and see what was going on. People were running OUTSIDE to see if they could help the Dear Lady who was shot. People were CLIMBING up on things to get a better line of sight, watching for suspicious vehicles, etc. I just love us. :)
