What kills me is that the Indian Reservations go completely Democrat even though Bill Clinton's administration "lost" billions of THEIR funds held in TRUST.

Like getting defrauded by your investment banker and then asking him to help you earn back your losses.

They only SUSPECT fraud on the reservation? How absurd.

I hope someone has the sense to check out the OTHER reservations.

It is ironic, isn't it? (To watch the current cabinet chief take the rap for the last administration is tough too.) Alas, I guess no one ever accused the tribes of being difficult to dupe.

'Washington Times' Dave Boyer kicked off this whole expose with his Sept 1 article.
http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020901-9618990.htm

Nice follow-up Mr. Boyer!

I keep hoping some investigative reporter, will take the time and effort to find out if the Democrats' hired gun vote getter, Becky Red Earth Villeda, aka Maka Duta, is registered to vote under both names. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

We also need to know if law enforcement has been able to find her. Evidently, she went into hiding right after the South Dakota Democratic Party served her up to the Feds, as the lone villain. If Villeda, aka Duta, has half a brain, she will get her own independent lawyer, one not provided by her former employee, the South Dakota Democratic Party, aka Tim Johnson, aka Tom Daschle!

A Colville Reservation Indian lady once asked me, "What do you call empty beer cans?" "I don't know I replied." She answered, "Indian artifacts." However sad the joke is, it is unfortunately an accurate reflection about reservation life which is ripe for corruption as outlined in this article.

The Democrats like their slave voters. Their master probably hasn't told them where the money went. The less money he Indians have access to, the more dependant on Democrats they are.

The FBI and state attorney general are investigating complaints that field workers for the Democratic Party have registered dead or nonexistent people to vote

It's about time they figured that out.
Now check out other states. You'd think it was the return of the living dead.

The irony of which you speak, makes me speachless, and considering many indians do not drink alcohol or take mind altering drugs, makes their political attitude all the more a mystery. That irony is the very irony that placed them on reservations and led to the current situtation experienced by so many. Before I ever lived in the state of SD, or knew about Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, I met a successful Indian who ran away from that reservation at the age of 15 and said he would never go back. A very unusual Souix.

IMHO the faster the indian nations are removed from so-called reservations, the quicker they will overcome their poor circumstances. Indian reservations are awash in fractured infrastructure meant to provide jobs, in areas that will forever remain jobless because of all the factors that for 200 plus years have defined an area that can provide employment. Except for schools, hospitals, police, a few quick stop gas stations, and mucho welfare support agencies, western SD reservations are not what you would call an area ripe for development, employment, or living. Raising cows, yes, providing bounty for a nation of outcasts, NEVER!

Yes, integration into our melting pot called the American experience is beneficial to all. Separation unto groupthink and association cuts off opportunity in a land with so much to offer.

You'd think South Dakota Indians would be on the warpath against Democrats, not voting for them. Empty lies and promises, that's all they've gotten! Bill Clinton visited South Dakota Indians once during his 2 terms. He was there for a few hours, bouncing from one state to another on his photo opping "Poverty Tour", changing nothing.

Warning to the FBI: You're looking at the tip of the iceberg. Democrats have been known to vote the dead and nonexistent all over the Country:

The FBI and state attorney general are investigating complaints that field workers for the Democratic Party have registered dead or nonexistent people to vote during a massive registration drive in the poverty-ridden counties.

My hope of hopes is that W devotes a lot of prosecutorial resources to this and all suspect areas. Think blue....

How is it that Indians are allowed to vote since they don't pay taxes and are an independent Nation? Someone please clear this up for me?

Liberals don't like to say bad things about each other. Is this why the New York Times has to make up stories... the good ones can't be covered?

Probably because the feds still have something to say in their affairs. I think that is fair. Too bad they are on the Rat plantation.

This is devastating news to the Thune campaign. Everyone of the Indians, unless one or two can't read the ballot properly, will support the straight Democrat ticket. In many ways, this is a kind of "rigging" the outcome of an election. I hope the SD GOP is up to fighting this fraud.

And besides, "they wouldn't spend it right".
