The Seven corners area isn't the safest part of Fairfax county. I imagine anybody out shopping tonight would be alert to people around them. Seven corners literally has 7 stoplights that converge together. This is a very culturally mixed neighborhood. I haven't been to the Home Depot but I have been to the Michael's Craft store... it's rather small and very messy. I hope they have sealed all the exit roads... but I don't see how that's possible.

there's a bit of military slang that starts with 'cluster', and that applies to the traffic around the corners,
but given your handle, i'll prolly just let it go at that ...

The only actual exit roads are at the Beltway interchanges, plus Idlewood & Heming. That's 15 roads to block, plus 3 bridges into DC. If he went eastbound on 50, he's inside the roadblock. It's a damn big area to search, but if he didn't make it outside the Beltway before the alarm went up, then he is still inside & must remain there. I heard on one of the news channels that this is the largest manhunt since Lincoln was assasinated. Send those guys shoulder to shoulder, block by block, & search everything bigger than a toybox.
