Hey, it gives me the creeps and I'm not even a man!! All the fu-fu ladies, as I call them, like to go there.

I'm not a "fu-fu lady", LOL, but I do like Michael's. I'm not overly "crafty", but if you have kids, it's an awesome place to get all the doodads and art supplies for them. They also sell some really cool hobby supplies that even "macho" crafters might like...I think someone mentioned rockets?

Personally, I think Michael's has nothing to do with it. It's a pretty common store - could just as easily be Home Depot (like tonight), Wal-Mart (which also has had its share of controversy), etc. If Michael's does figure into it, I'd say the sniper is targeting the average American and his/her lifestyle - gas stations, craft stores, home improvement stores, schools. Things "nice people" do.

They are everywhere! They have tons of them in Houston. I went to one once to look for a wreath for our front door, and it was packed with ladies dressed to the nines and somehow I felt intimidated like I was 13 years old again. I wasn't dressed badly or anything, it was just those ladies looked like they had jumped out of a page from Town and Country magazine, and the sales ladies were a bit snotty, but perhaps it was because it was busy at that time. However, I never thought about women with kids, it is a good place to get crafts and such!
