I was at that Home Depot just yesterday. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet but there is a Micheal's craft store in that same shopping plaza on the other side of HD.

I guess the Marine in Baltimore has mixed feelings about this one, if it's the same gun. He's gotta be happy the real sniper didn't let them chase him for awhile. Something is truly bizarre about all this. It's surreal.

Heard on WABC radio news that police are looking for a man with OLIVE SKIN, wearing denim clothing, in connection with this latest shooting near the Home Depot in Falls Church.

Sorry if this news has been posted already. Don't have time to read through all the posts right now.

Do you guys know how many white work vans come and go at Home Depot stores all day long? I doubt this guy or guys are using a van.

Regards,
Glen

I wonder if this guy is using a silencer on his rifle? I mean, out in the suburbs and your using a high power rifle, you mean to tell me that people arent going to know where the shot is coming from. This guy or people is sick and the media loves it.

I just heard that idiot Van Grusten on FOX ask her guest, "What is the message this person is trying to send to America?" God shes so damn stupid.

In a related story at yahoo news, from Matthew Barakat of the AP, I noticed this excerpt:

Authorities in Baltimore, meanwhile, seized a white van and found an assault rifle, sniper manual and ammunition similar to the .223 bullets used in attacks that have killed eight people and wounded two others, WBAL-TV reported. MSNBC reported that a tarot card was found in the van and a sign on the dashboard read "Gihad in America." A tarot card was also found at one of the shootings. The van's owner was being questioned by police Monday night. "At this time, the task force believes this is not related to our sniper incidents," said Louise Marthens, a Montgomery County police spokeswoman.

Not related? So, I guess there are a lot of white vans roaming the Baltimore/DC area with sniper manuals, .223 ammo, Tarot cards and Jihad posters.

Not something the Chamber of Commerce would like us to know, I imagine.

It's not Home Depot...

Michael's Arts and Crafts Stores are the key (in my opinion)..

There has been in close proximity to the majority of the most recent shootings (and near two of them on the first day of the spree shooting).

Don't believe me?? You figure out the pattern for yourself:

The killer has now gone two straight weekends without an attack.

The inference being that the killer has access to the vehicle(s) only on weekdays.

Given the varying description of the vehicle (Isuzu truck, GMC Astro van), the killer may have access to multiple vehicles during weekdays.

I'll lay money he is a delivery driver. Or his accomplice

I was at a home depot and a food store this morning and I got out of my car and looked around and thought about this shooter/assassins. I live over 2500+ miles away from these current tragedies.

This is getting out of control!

just a thought, and i'm sorry to be so late on the thread, but has anyone pondered the possibility that this could be a prototype, a way to measure response and effectiveness, in contemplation of a more widespread terror effort? among the effects could be a push by the politicos to utterly disarm the country, which would not solve the problem but which would give the appearance of doing something, and would make life easier for the bad guys after that, now that they were dealing with an unarmed populace. i do not know if this is the case, but it does not tax credulity all that much.

Once again, the Michael's store connection jumps out at you. I don't understand how the authorities can have failed to narrow down their search considerably based on the fact that all (or virtually all) of the shootings took place near this store, which is a chain but not exactly McDonald's or Giant Food. Isn't it reasonable to expect that they would have, long before now, compiled a list of all former and present employees of Michael's living in the D.C. metro area who own a white van or truck? My faith in the abilities of these Keystone Kops wanes each day. I know the area of the shooting very well, and if they indeed had all the major roads blocked off within a few minutes, there is no way out of there other than through those major outlets. Therefore, I don't understand how he (or they) could have escaped. Since we've heard of no arrests at this point, however, I have to conclude that once again they've failed to catch this terrifying killer. I can't help but wonder how much more effective they might be if the criminal at large was terrorizing local doughnut shops.

Here's an idea:

Place 30-50 temorary high resolution video cameras along the main arteries of the interstates. This will allow the vehicle to be caught on tape and might give a hint as to :

1) Owner, from the license plate

2) Exact vehicle description so people can keep a look out for it.

3) Possible identification of this twisted killer.
