I'm one those base conservatives and I worked very hard and very long for his brother in 2000 but I am not doing it for Jeb. Sorry to say that many conservatives I know are also "just going through the motions" for Jeb.

Well, Seeking, this may be one of those times when you pick the lesser of the two evils...McBride or Jeb, Jeb or McBride...and then, rather than putting forth any further effort "for Jeb" or "for McBride", take ownership and put forth effort "for yourself". If you still believe that having Jeb in office is more desirable than McBride in office, then you really are doing whatever you choose to do to help him retain his office for your own benefit, to help produce the best possible outcome from your two options.

Going through the motions takes the heart right out of you. If you and your fellow "base" still believe Jeb has more potential for the good of the state than his opponent, this fact alone may be the fire you need to keep fighting when the fight to support him personally has waned in your hearts.

No, it has nothing to do with "lesser of two evils"

McBride is evil; Jeb is not.

No, I can not spend my very valuable time for those that really don't give a damn about my issues, my philosophy, my ideology.

Sure, I'll vote for him but that's it.

Multiply my thought process by many other conservatives who think the same and that is Jeb's problem.

When a politician can not energize his base to work for him, he is not going to win.

I hope I'm wrong but I fear again a small turnout by conservatives & Republicans as well as those conservative Independents.
