Another reason that FNC is beating all competitors, (IMHO) is smart marketing strategy. It's referred to lightly in this article regarding the word-of-mouth recogonition that was built. Last week, on Fox and Friends, Steve Doocy introduced this new little feature on the Fox News Website:

Hotel Finder

If you are travelling, this nifty device, allows you to check to see if your hotel carries Fox News. If it doesn't, it allows you to send an email and request that it does! I believe that Fox ought to continue this idea to fitness centers, hospitals, nursing homes, airports......wherever the press holds us hostage! HA!

Wit, critical thinking and a healthy dose of truthful reporting make a show most people with IQ's greater than Peter Jenning's shoe size will watch.

Brit Hume doesn't take himself too seriously in the tradition of David Brinkley and Harry Reasoner.

In my view, Brit Hume is the smartest and most articulate man on tv news.

Fox Rocks!

"At CNN, I left a lot of good colleagues, but there would be a group discussion for every decision. "

. . .would that be the Libs favorite pastime. . .a variation of polling. . .ie consensus building?

Live in Atlanta; when we went with 'Fox', wrote CNN a 'goody-bye' letter telling them why we were so glad to be moving on.

That was a few years ago; and have never looked back. .. :^)!

It was my impression that everybody at ABC thought Ronald Reagan was a dope.

Liberals think Clinton/Gore intelligent and Reagan/W stupid for two reasons.

One is we all tend to believe those that think like we do as smarter than those who don't. Clinton's ideas appealed to them; Reagan's didn't. Ergo, Clinton is brilliant, Dan Quale, a moron. Liberals in the media also know the power of propoganda, so they spend a lot of time re-inforcing those opinions. They are on the lookout 24x7. If someone says Clinton is smart, it's news. Someone calls W stupid, news. And vica versa. Any statement that Clinton is an idiot or Reagan a genius, and there are plenty of them, are NOT news.

The second reason is that liberals are classroom smart and conservatives product production smart. Thus liberals praise the argument or proposal and have little interest in the outcome. Conservatives regard the outcome as the justification of effort - not that ends justify means, or anything - but that failed outcomes are important and must be addressed. Liberals think ivory-tower professors are brilliant because they discuss things but have no responsibility for what those discussions might lead to. Captiains of industry are not understood by liberals and their results oriented philosophy and work habits are regarded as just so much "blocking and tackling" done by those whose ability to think is severly restricted.

Unfortunately, for this whole line-up, Brit's ratings were the lowest. Maybe because of the early hour? People not home yet, watching?

That's a problem for me. I saw him yesterday because I was not at work. Normally, I don't get in front of a TV til 7pm, if then. I don't watch those other shows--O'Reilly, H&C, Shep. Sometimes Shep, but it's a little too much info-tainment for my taste. Brit is quality news.

In April, MSNBC repackaged itself, proclaiming it was now "America's News Channel," changing its multicolored peacock logo to a patriotic red, white and blue and touting itself as "fiercely independent."

LOL! I thought they had given us a new channel. But I couldn't recall hearing anything about the new "America's News Channel."

The problem, say critics on the right, is that MSNBC seems to view "fiercely independent" as a synonym for militantly liberal. A network fact sheet touting the newly undead Phil Donahue show calls the ultraliberal talkmeister "fiercely independent," too.

Compare the promotion and time-slot for Alan Keyes versus the same thing for Phildo.

Excellent idea. I was at Dunkin Donuts watching CNN and I thought of mentioning the fact that more people watch Fox to the manager. And then I remembered that I live in Massachusetts.

Liberals really do hate us. Maybe that's why they've always projected that onto us. We're not the haters, they are. And always have been.

. There was an ABC producer who said that whenever she had the chance she used an ugly picture of Reagan because she hated him so much."

Just as I always suspected.

I have seen other freepers notice the same regarding President Bush when, thanks to rintense, we are aware of many flattering photos that are available.

I caught a few minutes of fox and friends this morning. They had a guest wrote a book 'War against America' or something like that. She was ex-Klinton advisor on Iraq. She said Iraq and Bin Laden ABSOLUTLEY connected, CIA covering it up to protect their careers. Klinton didn't want Iraq to be tied to binny.

This seems so IMPORTANT , yet I haven't seen any mention of it here on FR this AM. Maybe someone with time to research the book can post it?

I saw her. I can't remember her name, only that it had a strange spelling. I checked the Fox website, but can't find any info there.
I'll do an Amazon search for the book.
