I think the world has changed a bit since 1492, especially after the world wars and the advent of nukes. Not so easy to just take over the neighbor's lot. I just think this retroactive view of history without the perspective and acknowledgement of the faults on both sides is clap trap.

Since 1492? The colonization of India happened since 1492. Just one example of taking over the neighbor's lot on a massive scale. Of course it was 200 or so years ago, but it wasn't undone until 1947. Most of the taking over the neighbor's lot didn't get undone until the middle of the 20th century.

Since WWII, borders have been relatively stable, but that's a fairly recent and by no means permanent situation.
