[history]
October 14, 2002 -- TEL AVIV - A Palestinian militant was blown up in a telephone booth yesterday near the West Bank city of Bethlehem, in a killing similar to previous Israeli assassinations.
The dead man was identified as Mohammed Abayat, 28, a commander with the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a paramilitary group affiliated with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction.

Reach Out...Reach Out and Kill Someone.

By the way, this whole exploding phone thing started when the Israelis managed to get an exploding cell-phone in a bad-boy's hands. After he was dispatched the terrorists switched to pay phones. Next innovation: exploding modems?

He "started to speak on it and it suddenly blew up. Parts of his body were everywhere," Moussa said. This is a known bug in MCI's long distance service. They're working in it.

How do you think they knew he would use that particular phone? Are all the pay phones rigged and when the voice recognition software makes a match, adios amigo? Interesting idea. Probably just somebody watching the booth from a block away with a remote detonator.

You know, with the rising popularity of cell phones, it's becoming harder and harder to find a pay phone anywhere as the telephone companies either deinstall them or stop maintaining them. And now with this news, there goes another pay phone. What a pity!

NPR had this story on this morning and was giving the slant that the evil Israelis had killed two members of this guys family and that this killing was meant for his brother. The NPR newsperson was giving the public how the Israelis had unfortunately killed some innocent Palistinians.

I've never laughed so hard at a thread before. This stuff is pure comedy. Nice work Mossad.
