Inside word from Washington----The leadership of the Senate would change (to Lott) BUT THE COMMITTEE CHAIRMENSHIPS WILL NOT CHANGE---so, without getting those nominees out of committee, a floor vote could not happen.
Furthermore, there is serious talk of a Chaffee change if we get the +1 win--and he has already tested the water this week with his "no" war resolution vote and found it set well with his constituents.
Even with a Talent win, I fear the RATS have prepared for this and will play their hand with our own traitor. Chaffee would probably go DEM and get a chairmanship for himself in the process.
The more we win, the more they steal. That is why it is CRITICAL that we get at least +2, or even 3, senate seats, which apparently the Cook Report, doesn't think will happen.

These stats are more compatible with valid internal polling from months ago than the swings Zogby has been showing in the past four months.

Chaffee knocked down all talk of switching yesterday on CNN. RATS have nothing to offer him - no committee chair or other plums.

There is division among Afro-Americans within St. Louis city--they are tired of voting for Dems and having nothing to show for it. Some have even said that they won't vote Republican but they don't care if the Dems lose. This was noted in the weekend St. Louis Post Dispatch and the Dems may have a rougher time getting the sheeple into the bus this time than in 2000.

Zobgy predicted D'Amato--his understanding of states is less accurate than his knowledge of the nation as a whole.

You're right about the committee seats--and that is why it is critical that we get 2 or more new senators to get past the Dasshole's evil plan.

So Lott couldn't call up the nominee without the Committee approval? I'm not up on all the Senate Rules and don't want to go look it up for this. I guess even if he could it could be filibustered to death by some of the Senators.....

Powder..Patch..Ball FIRE!
Blacks abandoning Democrats in Missouri!
Here is some more information for all to digest!
Powder..Patch..Ball FIRE!
Remember a couple of weeks ago? HHMMMM!!!! In the past two weeks, Republican senate candidate Jim Talent eliminated the lead held by Democratic incumbent Jean Carnahan. The survey taken this past weekend shows Carnahan and Talent are tied at 48-percent. That's a gain of five percent for Talent and a drop of three percent for Carnahan from the Survey USA poll conducted two weeks ago. Support Jim Talent!

We could control the Senate on November 6 2002-- what should we do first? Make Jumpin' Jim Jeffords a Chairman....of the Latrine Committee.

And Tommy will again prove that he is a tougher fighher than Trent. Heck, one hardly has to raise a fist to be a tougher fighter than Trent.

I've long advocated GOP renting every bus on Election Day, coast to coast, and let them sit idle at the state parks.

With a little attention, the GOP could own the black vote once again. Before the Great Society (brought to you by the Slave Party), the black vote routinely went Republican. Given what a disaster that was, they should want to come back.

Well, THIS time I hope Trent Lott plays hard ball.
To: Tuscaloosa Goldfinch
To play hard ball, you have to supply your own equipment.

The way to counter a Chaffee jump is to win three--IF we can take away Missouri from Carnahan, Minnesota from Wellstone, and somehow, win SD from Johnson WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY holding on to Arkansas, Colorado, Texas, and New Hampshire, then a jump from Chaffee won't matter and we'd still be in control.
It's alot of if's--but miracles have been known to happen......and maybe with an uptrend in these states, it's more "probable" than "possible".

We could control the Senate on November 6 2002-- what should we do first? My vote-- Judicial Nominees... First, assign Daschole permanent latrine duty.
To: mattdono
I see that the Zogby poll doesn't take into account that "demoA-Holes-will-cheat-lie-and-steal-for-any-Carnahan-vote" factor, so you have to add at least 5% for that. Presumably, the dead vote is included in this category?
To: Mad_Tom_Rackham
First, assign Daschole permanent latrine duty.Sounds good to me, but I have a suspicion he might like it.

But even if we only take it back by a slight margin, the fact that we will control committes is crucial.
