No one seems to ask why the sniper "doesn't work weekends." It appears that the shooter should be called "The 9-5 Weekday Sniper." More important, perhaps the sniper is NOT AVAILABLE on weekends or he has other things to do, like league bowling or turban-weaving classes.

I hit on this on a different thread. The guy is obviously a football fan. He was on a roll last week, and then nothing Sat and Sunday. Lots of great games on this week. I know I was glued to the recliner. Did you get to see my SOONERS beat TEXAS?????

The media is about to launch a major hissy fit over the lack of information they are getting. I never understood why public officials stand up in front of a bunch of presstitutes and allow themselves to be abused by idiots who are only interested in self-aggrandizement.

But, the point here has nothing to do with the sniper. The media is arguing for access/information in Iraq. These commie ba**ards dream of being Ernie Pyle, of being invited to NPR to give their views on the "war." They know that whatever happens in Iraq, they ain'y going to be near it and will have to rely on what they are given. They work for outfits that hate and wish to destroy the Bush administration and wish to establish socialism in the US.

I always remember the Saturday Night Live skit on the press briefing before the landin in Somalia where reports asked repeatedly where and when the US troops would land.

Here, these same pinkos who are demading details because of the peoples' right to know are the same ones who, in a heartbeat, would refuse to divulge something "to protect a source." In both cases, they are working to make a buck for themselves, personally.

However, two nut cases, operating together over an extended time, observing strict operational discipline, is extremely unlikely. Hence my contention that if it is a team, then the odds are 99% in favor of terrorism.

To say "I am God" can easily be a sign of disrespect for God.

Absolutely, even to an Islamic terrorist. However, to someone who learned English as a second language (which seems to be the case), then this could simply be a way of saying the killer is an instrument of God, doing God's will, etc.

If the killer is Islamic, then the use of the western word "God" instead of Islamic word "Allah" could also be significant.

To kill in God's name is definitely a sign of disrespect because it equates God to terrorism.

Interesting that you say that. He's one of the few "alphabet" journalists I appreciate on a consistent basis. I was commenting rather on his postioning as the on-site reporter for the DC Sniper Saga, given his previous focus on Al Queda.

Here's what I really think. I think the roadblocks etc surprised him Friday. Maybe even got close to catching him. Spooked him / them. And he is letting things cool a bit.... and will be back with a different strategy, or in a different region.

I am convincer there are more than two involved. The beautiy of having three or more shooters is that each will have an alibi for at least one of the shootings -- probably making sure they are highly visible at the time of the shooting.

Below is an analysis of the shooting dates and times. The times that start with "P" are the prayer times in the time zone of the shootings. Before and after the indicated shooting times.

The time in bold is the supposed shooting time. The times of the shootings seem to fall well before or after prayers except for #10. Which was at 8:15 P.M. and an exact match for the Isah pray time. That would indicate that a devote Muslim is not the shooter is they are following prayer times. But, combining the 5th (Maghrib-Evening) and 6th (Isha - Night) is allowed. Usually when the Muslim is "traveling". So, the actual prayer time for #10 could have been 6:53 P.M. if the 5th and 6th prayers were combined.

Pretend the "sniper(s)" can only pee 5 times a day. At specific times. Or 3 times a day if they take one long leak in the afternoon. And it takes them several minutes to pee-pee.

The "sniper" or "snipers" have not been shooting when they should be taking a piss. He/she/they are shooting in between their wizz times.

I'm not sure at this point. Generally speaking I don't have a lot of regard for the intelligence of the average criminal, so the "Dear Policeman" thing may be meaningless.

On the other hand, this criminal may be far from average, and if so, one might expect greater literacy. That could be a clue that the shooter is a foreigner, but who knows?

I wouldn't be surprised if Muslim extremists are to blame, but I'll be equally unsurprised if it turns out to be a home-grown psycho looking for attention.
