The original "Swept away ..." pretty much sucked anyway so you would expect the remake to also regardless of who was cast.
Hah! you are so right. I saw the original or as much of it as I could stand before falling asleep. Another extremely overrated European art film. The only ones I liked were Leone's spaghetti westerns.
Madonna is a person of extremely limited talents except for brashness and a nice body. Her voice was always thin and she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. I hope that she has come to the end of her sordid career.
