You asked if we wondered how Bush got into Yale and Harvard, I would guess that it was the same way that Gore did.

The downturn in the economy started in 2000, before Bush took office, but of course, you knew that. Actually it started the spring of that year when the Clinton administration attacked Micro-soft for political reasons.

For what it's worth, I had already lost 1/3 of my lifetime investments by the time that worthless scum turned traitor. I'll be the first in line to horsewhip that worthless piece of %$&#$%$^% but it won't be because of the economy......

>They're all politicians, so they're only interested in >personal power and keeping it however they can. What, >exactly, is a tax cut if not an attempt to buy votes?
There is a difference in the relationships. In one relationship, power is obtained by creating reliance -- higher taxes-->bigger government-->more entitlements-->dependence on entitlements-->dependence on government This is a parasitic relationship -- the final result is complete reliance on elected officials.
The second type of relationship is mutual empowerment. Tax cuts-->smaller government-->fewer entitlements-->self-reliance. Ultimately, the fortunes of the ciizen are not bound to the whim of the politician.

I don't have a clue as to what is going on and from what I have been watching on TV, nobody else does either.......... You're probably right.
These has been a lot of crap with company's revenue and earnings which contributed to "the bubble".
Many people have lost faith in the earnings reports issued by corporations.
