If you think Iraq has had no role in the dozens of serious attacks on Americans in the past couple of years, you are smoking something...and it ain't Marlboro Lights.

Buddy, your whole argument is based on a belief. A belief that is completely unsupported by any forensic record. I'd say you are the one with the problem. Foreign affairs should not be decided by supersticion and rumor.

"All things british are crap, low speed, high maintenance"

Exactly what I was thinking through this whole thread!

Foreign affairs should be decided by what is best for America and its people.

The continued control of Iraq by a proven murderous thug is a danger to all of us.

Before 9-11, we were content to keep him in his box. But times have changed. The Islamists changed the rules on September 11th, 2001. No longer can any responsible leader in this country risk one American life on the assumption that Hussein, or those like him, can be relied upon to be sweet and reasonable.

Freeing the Iraqi people is now in our national interest....that's reality. Get used to it, because its going to happen.

BTW...you can be assured that the President and his national security team are not functioning on superstition and rumor.

Officials at that level don't talk of mushroom clouds over American cities on a whim. They have ALL of the available information, and I have no doubt at all...none...that it is clear that Iraq is an imminent threat.
