Read This and Immediately Lose Weight

By Leo Lacayo Friday, October 11, 2002

The U.S. Postal Service just delivered my City and County of San Francisco Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot, and if you think the name is long, just check out your edition.

Skip the book (for starters my name is listed nine times so that means I must know more than you about the issues or that I spent more money putting my name in there than you did). So don't waste your time, here are my recommendations for statewide office.

Governor--------------------------BILL SIMON Lieutenant Governor----------KEITH OLBERG Controller---------------- -------TOM McCLINTOCK Treasurer-------------------------GREG CONLON Attorney General---------------DICK ACKERMAN Insurance Comissioner----- --GARY MENDOZA Board of Equalization----------MARK S. BENDICK

There will likely be many voter's guides coming out as the election approaches, like this one for California.

Can FR put links to simple one-page voter's guides prominently displayed on the front page so any casual visitor, as well as the regulars, know who to vote for?

Well, the Superintendent of Public Education is "nonpartisan," but reading the candidates' statements, the choice is pretty obvious.

I have always done better financially with a DEMOCRAT in office. The mess were are in now with Saddam would not be plaguing us now if Bushes Daddy would have done the job right in the first place! I didnt like his Daddy as president nor do i like him.

You know damn well that Congress made leaving Saddam Hussein in place a condition for okaying Desert Storm.

What? Didn't know that? Forgot (conveniently of course)? Public school-educated CNNABCNBCCBS watcher? What's your excuse?
