I agree with you Godbert. The only criteria I have to judge Chief Moose is his effectivness and compitance.

To date all that I have seen so far is that the sniper has continued to kill on a daily basis. I do not believe that shouting from the roof-tops that they are searching for a white mini-van would be particularly helpful. After all, were I the sniper, I would by now have probably started using a different mode of transportation knowing the a white mini-van is high-profile; and thirdly, what is the comment about the shooting of a 13 year-old as "...now it's really getting personal"? Is that to say that shooting adults in NOT a personal offense or a attack on peaceful society?

All in all, Chief Moose does not inspire me with the greatest of confidence, and that the sniper will, no doubt, get caught by some bone-headed error and not by dilligent police work.

Apparently, you missed the news conference wherein this remark was taken. AFTER Moose said, something to the effect of: "not that the other victims were any less innocent, or less valuable, but shooting a child? . . . you {the killer} have stepped over the line . . . now we're killing kids? . . . this is personal, now, it's really getting personal." He was obviously not degrading or placing less meaning on the lives of the other people....he was looking at the fact that a CHILD has been shot and almost killed. IT MOVED HIM.
