That is probably why these shootings are near major roads ... the perps live down in Virginia or up in Maryland, far enough away that the authorities are not scanning tapes from gas stations in their area but close enough to make round trips on half a tank of gas.

If it's arab terrorism, they could very well have land, with fuel, and carry enough with them to take longer drives. The muslim whackoss are insane, but they aren't stupid. All ideas need to be thrown into the ring.

I think the perp(s) lives in Maryland, saw Chief Moose on TV hawking a 'geographic profile' and realizing he was committing these crimes in his own backyard, decided to expand the geography. He has not been back to Montgomery County since.
