Actually a man and a woman does fit one of the profiles. Heard Mark Ferhman(sp) on the radio today mention a shooting spree in the 50's involving a man and a woman.
"Hear Mark Fuhrman on radio today mention a shooting spree in the 50's involving a man and a woman."
I was born at he very end of the 50's so don't know about this for sure but am guessing. I tried to look up Carryl Chessman to see if he could be who you are referring to but all I can find are some french movies, references to him in articles and ones site called the "Personal Library of Talat Oncu" which I couldn't seem to get when I clicked on it.
Anyway, for those who know or remember was CC maybe the guy Fuhrman referred to?
Heard Mark Fehrman(sp)on the radio today mention a shooting spree in the '50s involving a man and a woman. That was Charlie Starkweather and girlfriend Caril Ann Fugate. Starkweather used both a rifle and, up close, a shotgun, and was a respectably good shot. And it was when he tried to use a handgun to intimidate a motorist, who turned out to be a deputy sheriff, that he was captured.
It's questionable whether Fugate personally pulled a trigger herself, but very possible- but she was also certainly both hostage and accomplice.
He was 19 years old at the time, 1958. She was 14.
