I'll have to see if I can zoom out some more, the grid splits the mall in half so we'll see. There really is not a whole lot of shrubbery in the area. Due north is a fire station, due west on the other side of that pond is a traffic light and an office building (Kaiser building, I think) and beyond that, another shopping center then the fairgrounds and I-270.

In the bottom photo (i figured the layout out) there are clumps of white pines at the far end of the parking lot. Nobody parks down there, I don't think the parking lights extend that far. That would be the perfect place to hide ...
