"This is the board that has never updated and will soon kill the Camaro. That should take a good part of the excitement from Chevrolet. GM executives don't seem to understand that the art in the auto business is building desirable vehicles, not killing models and closing plants."

As a Camaro owner I can't tell you how mad I get that they killed the f-body platform. A thirty year legacy dies at the feet of SUVs. F---ing stupid.

GM priced the F-body out of a market. The kids are buying ricers now and imagining performance because they can't afford the real thing.

You have two choices: An SUV or a 4 cylinder, front-wheel drive minicar. You might get your minicar with a V6, but it has to be automatic.

However, the blame isn't all on the automakers. The EPA is driving a stake through the car business with absurd mileage requirements.

You used to buy a new car to get exactly what you wanted. Now the new cars are all alike. Everybody drives the same thing, so why not save some money and get your cookie-cutter used?

..."A thirty year legacy dies at the feet of SUV's..."

Not exactly, it died at the feet of the Ford Mustang. It was outselling the Camaro/Firebird 3 to 1. :--)
