I can get a good look by going upstairs and opening my safe. There are many different manufacturers -- I think Armalite invented the origional. Many improvements over the years, it's very 'state of the art', but a little too 'whiz-bang' for our guy, IMO . . .
Eugene Stoner invented the original... Tried to market it in the U.S. and got no takers (at first.) Fairchild's Armalite division (U.K.) expressed and interest and then Colt decided to take a look at it...
