Why are they checking vehicles 40-miles away at the "mixing bowl"?...No way a vehicle could be that far by now, not in the rain and amount of traffic in this area...!

Why are they checking vehicles 40-miles away at the "mixing bowl"?...They must think the shooter's heading home, in a hurry, to Montgomery County, VA. You almost have to go through the mixing bowl to get there.
