The more I thought about your post the more I thought, how on earth did you come up with such a question? I actually know lots of people involved in this, family and friends who live in the area and they are not on FR or have access to internet. And, gee, I'm still praying for them.

How on earth did I come up with such a question? Let's look what you said:

"We're asking everyone who lives in metro area or has family in area to go to our prayer thread and sign on so we can pray for you."

".............. go to our prayer thread .............so we can pray for you."

The question was simple, what is so magical about your prayer thread. Are those that don't have access to the internet or Free Republic or are otherwise not aware of your prayer thread on their own? Why don't you just say a blanket prayer for everyone in the area? But now, what your saying is that those that don't have access to your thread are covered by your prayers but Freepers from the area will have to go to your thread to be covered? Is there a collection plate involved in this somewhere?

It's just that this sounds like something out of the Andy Griffith Show or a Ray Stevens song, that's all.
