I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

Call out the national guard, Governor! Reward money isn't getting anywhere. CALL OUT THE GUARD AND COVER THE ENTIRE METRO AREA.

Mobil and Exxon were originally the same company, split apart because of Uncle Sam and are now back together again. All part of Rockefellers Standard oil of Indiana and Standard Oil of Ohio.

Last week, didn't Bin Laden command militant Muslims to renew attacks on America? Are known sleeper cells being check out? Yes. That audio was followed up by the Al Zhwahari video which the feds believe is credible.

4/8 of the shootings were at gas stations.

People pumping gas are exposed, easy, mostly stationary targets in well lit areas.

The victim died.

Can you tell me about how far this is to the gas station shooting two nights ago.... Today's shooting is just a few miles away from where the previous Fredericksburg-area shooting was. Same county, also near the Interstate, but one exit north of where today's shooting was.
Today's shooting is also about 30 miles south east from the Manassas shooting the other night. Manassas is not right along Interstate 95, but several miles west.

Here is what gets me: How would you like to be the guy stuck in a traffic backup in your car directly behind the van carrying the sniper?? Wouldn't this guy go out in a hail of bullets, or would he let himself get caught?

What if... the shooters wait until a white van pulls by the gas station before firing? A shot is fired, a white van pulls away, and everybody gets all excited?

We should send in Jimmy Carter to reason with this madman. Sorry, couldn't help the humor break.
Prayers to all victims and their families.
