Where did Blair get the idea that Jesse Jackson solved any crime or black youth problem? Also does he really think that the Black people in this country really believe that Jesse Jackson is relevant? He has been protesting and preaching for years and hasn't made a dent in stopping Black crime. Actually he is always sticking up for the worst of the bunch. Most Black people I know think Jesse is a hypocrite.
Several years ago, perhaps when he was running for president, Jesse Jackson made a widely publicized comment that even he, when he walked down the street at night and heard someone walking up behind him, was relieved when he saw the person was white.
Undoubtedly, that comment is what Blair has in mind when he praises Jackson.
Where did Blair get the idea that Jesse Jackson solved any crime or black youth problem? JJ once said during a interview that "when I hear footsteps behind me at night and I turn around,I'm relived if it is a white man following me". May not be a exact quote, but close. The whole discussion was about the high number of blacks involved in street crime.
