Somebody was predicting this morning that the next sniper shooting would be off 270.

That would be me - see link below. I speculated they would go North up 270 and sited two possibilities off Germantown and Frederick exits, specifically. Does anyone know where Route 28 is off 270?

Press conference at 6:10 pm..link to be announced between the VA Manassas shooting and the sniper shootings.

Also Channel 7 is now talking about I270..Police were called by female as reported in above posts.....Now showing the man in the blue truck..taken into custody, sitting in cop car...Suddenly they are now talking about the FBI taking over the investigation......???? Nothing further about the I 270 incident!!!! Talk about half-assed reporting!

I passed a row of about 8 cop cars, half marked / half unmarked coming home at about 5:15 tonight. Most of the cops were checking the wooded area adjacent to the road. This occurred just before the exit to Falls Road on the side access exit road on 270 North. This is the exit between Montrose(which is further south) and Route 28 Montgomery Avenue, which goes through old town Rockville and meanders East beyond Rockville, becoming Norbeck Road, which crosses route 355 heading down to Georgia Ave. Definitely pretty close to the Aspen Hill area shooting and the Rockville shooting.
