Zinni is an idiot.
I guess all those years he spent in Vietnam and all those years being a Marine, and now being the father of a Marine, made him think that if we go to war we should really have a clue, after all it is only dead servicemen.
Maybe I'm guessing to much about "interests." But his "containment" idea needs to be questioned further. For how long? Will it be decades of low intensity war, air patrols, occasional discouragment of massacres?
This should have been taken care of in 1998, but I suppose there was not enough political will at the time.
