Correct, it would be a rare Muslim that actually claimed he was God. From what I've read, most crazies that claim to be God, or have conversations with Him are white, Christian extremists. At least in this country.

But plenty of Muslims claim to act in the name of God, so I don't think it's a stretch that he would write the note as such, not meaning he IS God, but that he is acting in God's place. Especially if his English isn't perfect. Makes me wonder what the handwriting looks like.
I'm not saying he's a Muslim terrorist, just that the possibility shouldn't be ruled out.
