Spoke to my daughter yesterday--she lives in Alexandria. She said that people are literally running from parking lots into supermarkets and crouching when filling their cars. Can't blame them...

Police should emphasize the MATHEMATICAL PROBABILITY (extremely low odds) that oneself or one's loved ones will actually take a bullet from afar during this crisis in the D.C. area.

Instead the media hypes, feeds fear, facilitates terror and panic. The emotional mind shuts down the rational mind. Again, thanks to the media and their fear mongering. We already know how they always present stories about how we are going to die any moment from eating this or doing that, or otherwise breathing. They know the only way to get the American sheeple in our day and age and pop culture mindset to stick around for their slick, tabloid 10 p.m. news is to scare the urine out of them in little 5 second 'teaser' promos that tonight the world is coming to an end..."film at 11!"

Well, DAMN THEM TO HELL!

I say they have a larger social responsibility. They are acting irresponsible.

We need some common sense voices out there cooling people down that a) they will catch these bastards eventually and probably shortly; and b) the mathematical chances of one being a victim should make anyone confident to walk with their heads high and with courage as they gas up their cars, shop at the Safeway, go to a high school football game, or otherwise be an American.
